The Men’s Wintry Jacket is also made with Eco Finish environmentally friendly water repellent and without the use of fluorocarbons (PFC).

Technologies

WINDPROOF 100
100% windproof due to incorporated membrane. The sandwich construction consists, adapted to the field of application, of a technical outer and a warming inner material. This technology is suitable for use in windy weather conditions in mountain and bike sports.

ECO FINISH
VAUDE products with Eco Finish are environmentally friendly water repellent manufactured without fluorocarbons (PFC). PFCs belong to a group of chemical compounds that are used to impregnate the outer fabric of many outdoor products. They have come under criticism because they are considered non-degradable, accumulate in the body and are suspected of being harmful to health. VAUDE has a clear commitment to completely avoid PFCs.

Recycled material
To manufacture this highly functional product, Vaude uses recycled polyester, among other materials, on a pro rata basis. This is surplus material from polyester production, which – instead of often being disposed of as waste – is collected and returned to production. This saves up to 50% energy and CO2 emissions as well as fossil raw materials without affecting the function of the clothing.
