Finally, for more price-sensitive customers and to enable a wider price range for complete gravel bikes, Shimano has updated its 600 series cranks and shifters for 1×12 and 2×12 setups, which now utilize technology from the original 800 GRX component line as a result of a trickle-down process.

Key features include textured covers and a non-slip coating on the brake levers to improve control over rough terrain. The new cranksets offer gearing options specifically designed to meet the demands of gravel riding. The 2×12 crankset is equipped with a 46 mm and a 30 mm chainring and is available in crank arm lengths of 165, 170, 172.5 and 175 mm. The RX610 1×12 crank has the same four crank arm lengths and is now available with a heavy-duty 38T or the traditional 40T chainring. These options are combined with a 10-45 or 10-51 cassette.

While the left lever of the 2×12 GRX groupset offers Shimano’s unmatched smooth shifting, the new 1×12 groupsets offer two options for the left lever: a brake-only lever model and a dropper-specific option that seamlessly integrates brake and dropper post operation for quick and effortless operation.
