Schwalbe tube recycling
Every Schwalbe inner tube is 100 % recyclable. The recycled butyl rubber can be used in the production of new tubes without any loss of quality. Used, unsorted inner tubes are the raw material for recycling. In Germany, the Netherlands and the UK, Schwalbe supports the recycling process for old bicycle inner tubes with a collection process in which end consumers can also participate easily and free of charge. Every new Schwalbe standard inner tube already consists of around 20% recycled raw material. Schwalbe is constantly working to further increase the proportion of recycled material without adversely affecting the quality of the new inner tube.
