BIO BASED SOURCING
PROTECTIVE Sports relies on bio-based sourcing and uses bio-based polyamide, which is obtained from renewable biomass through fermentation processes. This results in yarns with a lower CO2 footprint without interfering with food production. Bike & Active Wear combines top performance with responsibility for nature.

FLOCUS (KAPOK)
At PROTECTIVE Sports, the protection of nature is a top priority and is actively practiced. They deliberately avoid using animal insulation such as feathers and down and instead rely on natural or synthetic fibers. In close cooperation with FLOCUS™, they use plant fibers from the kapok tree, which are ideal for padding and also prove themselves in T-shirts thanks to their unique properties. This project with FLOCUS™ is particularly close to PROTECTIVE’s heart and underlines their commitment to sustainable and animal-friendly production.

TECTRON
The recycled material is further enhanced by TECTRON technology and offers additional environmental benefits:

• gives non-biodegradable material a second life
• reduces waste and therefore reduces toxic emissions from incinerators
