SmartEVO COMPOUND
The new SmartEVO² represents the latest advancement in Pirelli’s high-performance racing tire compound, enhanced by incorporating Pirelli’s top-level motorsport expertise and the demands of modern World Tour racing. It evolves from the SmartEVO compound of three polymers with ‘smart’ properties, using new materials and innovative mixing processes now possible at Pirelli’s own manufacturing plant in Italy, located close to Pirelli’s global R&D headquarters. This results in improved overall grip, especially on wet surfaces, and reduced rolling resistance to record levels for its category, elevating both performance and ride feel to the level demanded by the world’s fastest World Tour racers.

SPEEDCORE
SpeedCORE™ is Pirelli’s innovative, patent-pending tubeless-ready construction for high-performance bicycle tires and represents the company’s most advanced TLR technology to date. Derived from Pirelli’s automotive know-how, made possible by Pirelli’s newest production plant in Italy, close to Pirelli’s headquarters in Milan, SpeedCORE™’s construction consists of a thin, airtight layer of rubber compound enriched with aramid particles. This layer covers the inner part of the tire and, thanks to the presence of aramid in the rubber compound, allows for better mechanical resistance, better air retention and overall greater flexibility, all of which contribute to the overall performance of the tire.
