The membrane is made of Koala Gore-Tex® and provides an excellent combination of breathability with total waterproofing and windproofing for comfort in any weather. The upper has a heat-sealed layer that, combined with the insulating Koala Membrana Goretex, guarantees warm protection from the elements.

The small TPU inserts provide excellent abrasion protection in key areas. The SLW3 wheel combined with the Velcro closure optimizes fit and comfort by allowing micro-adjustment and preventing annoying constriction at any point.

The successful combination of rotor and strap closure works on multiple levels: The SLW3 tightens the shoe from mid-instep to toe, while the strap secures the top of the arch. The Easyfit collar provides thermal insulation and waterproofing while offering unparalleled comfort and stretch.

The flat Vibram Fort William sole is designed to improve traction and braking and increase pedal pressure on wet and dry surfaces.

Socks Tips

The socks worn in footwear with ^Gore-Tex® must match the functional characteristics of the footwear. Although you might think that thick socks are the first choice to protect you from the cold, they have a serious disadvantage: the thicker the sock, the less able it is to wick perspiration away from the foot. In the worst case, the sock even soaks up sweat completely. This creates the unpleasant feeling of dampness and wetness. However, this does not depend on the shoe. The wetness comes from the inside. So it’s better to wear slightly thinner socks made of a functional material that wicks moisture away to the outside and thus promotes evaporation through the membrane pores.
