Technologies

3C MaxxGrip
The rubber compound that has made MAXXIS tires the reference in MTB downhill racing. 3C MAXXGRIP offers the ultimate grip and the best damping properties for incomparable traction and performance in downhill races.

Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other “tubeless ready” tires. The bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless fitting is successful on all rims with standard dimensions from the very first inflation and with little liquid.

EXO+ Protection
The new EXO+ carcass is based on a 60TPI carcass coated with an abrasion-resistant rubber. There is a reinforced and rubberized EXO puncture protection layer on the tire sidewalls and a short butyl insert over the tire bead. This means that tires with EXO+ protection are built for aggressive trail riding and lighter enduro races and are particularly suitable for the higher torque and weight of E-MTBs.

Wide Trail Casing
The Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape on today’s wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and have a too angular shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance.
WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 40 mm.
