The 29″ Hope Fortus 30 Pro 5 Disc 6-bolt wheelset with Shimano MicroSpline 12-speed freehub offers outstanding stability thanks to the 30 mm rim specially developed by Hope and is therefore perfect for the ambitious enduro or downhill rider looking for a reliable and durable wheel. A special highlight is the new smooth-running Hope Pro-5 hub. The wheel is machined in Barnoldswick, England, and then finished by hand there too. It is the Boost version for 15x110mm and 12x148mm thru axles.

Hope has over 30 years of experience in the development and manufacture of hubs. With the Pro 5, this experience was used to develop a product that meets the requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s bicycle technology.
The Pro 4 has proven itself to be one of the most reliable and versatile hubs on the market. Hope has further developed this proven technology with a number of improvements – improved sealing and reduced resistance in the freewheel body, higher load capacity at higher torques, even longer durability, more drive points and better compatibility with new drive systems. Hope has taken these factors equally into account and combined them in the design of the hub.
Reliability is always at the forefront of the products’ design. With the Pro 5, the external seal plays an important role. Hope has evolved the design of the Pro 4 in this area with a new seal on the drive side that provides a better seal and less resistance. This system is designed to withstand the harshest weather conditions, even in the UK!
This was one of the main objectives in the development of the Pro 5 hub and results in noticeable benefits for the rider. The combination of a new labyrinth seal, a redesigned pawl/ratchet system and a new pawl spring has reduced resistance in the freewheel mechanism despite additional drive points.
