• LARGE DIAMETER AXLE – Inverted forks have no arch, so achieving sufficient torsional stiffness was a challenge in the past. Using a custom steel 20 x 110mm Boost DH axle we achieved the optimum torsional stiffness for Podium, verified with extensive (and blind) testing by our engineers and athletes.
• GLIDECORE AIR SPRING – GlideCore reduces friction by moving with the fork under dynamic load. Large Nitrile Butadiene rings dampen and control this motion laterally under load and axially to reduce breakaway friction. The result? Smoother suspension action and less overall fatigue.
• CUSTOM TUNED GRIP X2 DAMPER – Podium is powered by the award-winning GRIP X2 damper, tuned for more compression support to account for reduced chassis friction. Riders sit higher in the travel and corner with increased traction, giving greater confidence while reducing fatigue significantly.
• OVERSIZED UPPERS. OVERBUILT CROWN. – Podium’s oversized 47mm upper tubes and massive crown give it incredible fore-aft rigidity. The chassis stiffness approaches that of a FOX 40, letting you power through the roughest and steepest trails with absolute confidence, even at Downhill race speed.

GRIPX2
To create the ultimate descent-focused damper, Fox sought the level of tunability seen in motocross and supercross racing suspension. The award-winning Grip 2 damper had a 20mm base valve diameter and seven valves. Grip X2 scaled up the tunability by increasing the base valve diameter to 24mm with 23 valves. The result is the most tunable, supportive, and smoothest descent-focused fork damper ever created by FOX. Riders reap the benefits of sitting higher in the travel while tires stay glued to the ground. They can corner with increased traction, giving them the confidence to push the limits of downhill and enduro racing, all while reducing overall rider fatigue.
