Ergonomics for the mid power position
The SR Tri Men Mid is designed for triathletes who tilt their pelvis less in the aero position and therefore place the center of gravity in the middle of the saddle. This means you need a narrow and longer saddle nose compared to riders who prefer the front position.

Y-shape for relief and performance
Due to the more upright pelvic position in the mid position, a narrow and longer nose is necessary for the best freedom of movement. This Y-shape effectively prevents back muscle fatigue and, in combination with the ergonomic padding and relief channel, ensures optimum protection of the sensitive genital area.

The right power position
With the TRI project, Ergon specialists and renowned triathletes worked for over three years to develop the best triathlon saddle. The result: not all riders sit in the same position on the saddle. The lower the aero position, the further forward the rider sits and requires a different saddle shape.

Developed with top triathletes
Renowned triathletes were involved in the development of the SR Tri, including Imogen Simmonds and Jan Stratmann (Power Position Front) as well as Laura Philip and triathlon legend Jan Frodeno, who both ride in the Power Position Mid.

The BMR line – the line for optimal fitting
The Biomechanical Reference Line (BMR Line) is the meridian of the saddle – here it is exactly 75 millimetres wide. The BMR line is marked on the Tri saddles so that you can use it quickly and easily when fitting. It is the reference point for setting the saddle-nose distance and seat position, seat height and saddle angle. The Ergon Fittingbox Road also uses the BMR line – so you can easily find your ideal setting.

Firm padding with optimum riding comfort
The durable Orthopedic Comfort Foam is precisely adapted to the requirements of triathlon: the perfect mix of firm padding, which enables ideal power transmission, and ergonomic relief for less pain, even during long-term exertion.

Performance through freedom
With its Y-shape and narrow, short nose, the SR Tri Men Mid offers plenty of freedom for optimum pedaling ergonomics. The extended freedom of movement ensures improved pressure distribution and relief of the sensitive perineal area, especially on long rides in the aero position. In addition, the back muscles are sustainably relieved, which prevents pain and fatigue. This also enables a more effective start to the subsequent running part of the triathlon.

Less pain, less strain
The pressure exerted on the sensitive perineal area during cycling reduces the oxygen supply in the genital area, which at best can lead to unpleasant feelings of numbness and at worst to erectile dysfunction. This is why the relief channel on the SR Tri Men is particularly pronounced – the extra wide and deep channel takes the pressure off the sensitive genital area and concentrates it on the sit bones.
