Precision technology and maximum riding comfort, with: Ergon GP3-L Evo grip
The GP3-L Evo is ideal for various areas of use such as touring, e-touring, MTB touring, E-MTB and fitness. It offers a solution to common problems such as numb fingers, sore hands and forearms
Features – Ergon GP3-L Evo grips
- Nerve-protecting – When cycling, the hands support a large part of the upper body weight on the handlebars. This creates high pressure on the small grip surface. This often pinches the very sensitive ulnar nerve, which runs in the area of the ball of the little finger close to the surface of the skin. This can lead to numbness. The wing grip increases the contact surface of the hand, distributes the pressure over a larger area and prevents discomfort.
- No kinking, no tingling – bending the wrist compresses nerves, tendons and blood vessels. As a result, the carpal tunnel narrows and can damage the median nerve. Longer bike rides with increasing fatigue make a healthy posture more difficult. The wing design of our GP grips supports the hand, automatically brings the wrist into an ergonomically ideal position and prevents numbness, tingling and pain.
- Thick and thin for best control – When the wrist bends while cycling, nerves, tendons and blood vessels are compressed. This can lead to constriction of the carpal tunnel and potential damage to the median nerve. The ergonomic wing design of the GP1 Evo supports the wrist in a gentle, straight position. This can effectively prevent problems such as painful wrists, numbness in the fingers, tingling and carpal tunnel syndrome.
- Tested back-friendly: Healthy Back Campaign – Back pain is the number one widespread ailment, which can quickly put a damper on riding enjoyment, especially when cycling. In a lengthy testing process by an interdisciplinary panel of experts, consisting of doctors, orthopaedists and physiotherapists, the back-friendly effect of the GP3 handle was officially confirmed with the AGR seal of approval from “Aktion gesunder Rücken”.

Technologies
Highest quality, short distances, more sustainability
Design, development, production – everything about the GP3 Evo is “Made in Germany”. This guarantees the highest standards across all manufacturing processes: maximum product quality, short transportation routes, fast delivery times and secure supply chains. By sourcing all raw materials from Germany and using almost exclusively recycled plastics, we also contribute to increased sustainability and produce virtually waste-free.
Grip rubber made in Germany
The material of the Ergon grips meets the highest quality standards, is TÜV-certified, durable and unique worldwide, using only medical white oil as a plasticizer. The UV-stable Longlife rubber compound is developed and manufactured exclusively for Ergon in Germany. Ergonomics, product design and engineering – all made in Germany.
Always clamps, and that’s a good thing
The GP series clamping system is extremely secure and easy to install. Each handle is fixed with just one screw and is thus reliably protected against twisting. Also important: Ergon aluminum clamps are forged and not pressed. The GP3 and other GP models with our super-light, flexible bar ends made of glass-fiber composite with non-slip rubber inlays provide you with additional gripping positions.
It’s all in the mix
Minimal friction – maximum comfort: The super-soft, UV-stable Longlife rubber compound developed by Ergon offers reliable grip when cycling with its texture fields, lies comfortably in the hand and noticeably increases riding enjoyment.
Fits every gear type
Some models in our GP series, including the GP3, are available in special versions for different gear systems. Both grips are the same length for regular gears. The version for Gripshift® or Dual-Twist-Shift twist shifters includes two shortened grips, for Rohloff®, Nexus® and Single-Twist-Shift only the grip on the right-hand side is shortened.
From the original wing grip to the GP1 Evo
The Ergon GP1 has been the reference for bicycle wing grips for 20 years. Proven millions of times over, the global bestseller has been awarded countless test wins and awards. But that was not enough for Ergon. They have continuously improved the original for touring and fitness riders in terms of function, materials and workmanship and are now setting a new milestone with the Evo version. More ergonomics is not possible.
