Technologies

G3™ geometry
Campagnolo’s characteristic G3 geometry challenges the conventional arrangement of spokes on road bikes. The groups of three parallel spokes with straight pull are arranged in a 2:1 ratio. The double number of spokes on one side allows wheels with G3 technology to achieve a perfectly balanced tension, which increases stiffness and improves energy transfer.

N3W
N3W stands for NEXT 3 WAYS, a patented standard for a freehub body designed to accommodate 11-, 12- and 13-speed cassettes with 9-, 10- and 11-tooth starting chains, while still being compatible with older 9- and 10-speed cassettes. To ensure compatibility with all current cassettes with 11-tooth starting sprockets, simply use the N3W ring (kit complete with ring + ring code AC21-N3W), which is the same length as the classic body. N3W is directly compatible with the new Campagnolo cassettes with 9- and 10-tooth starter sprockets. N3W has the same groove profile as the classic Campagnolo body, but is 4.4 mm shorter and therefore much lighter. There is also an N3W Light version with an aerospace-grade aluminium hub with optimized geometry that offers maximum torsional stiffness and maximum power control. Special Campagnolo processes have resulted in a patented Next 3 Ways freehub body with unsurpassed smoothness and lightness. The N3W freehub body is used on the Bora WTO, Bora Ultra WTO and Hyperon Ultra carbon wheels for road bikes and on the Shamal carbon wheels.
