Warming bib shorts for intensive training: the EQUIPE R S11 Bib Shorts from ASSOS

The new bib shorts from the Spring Fall Racing Series are made from the same insulating material as the new winter arm and leg warmers, making them even warmer than their predecessor from the Racing Series. Although the EQUIPE R is warmer on the legs and hips, unlike its predecessor it does not have a double-layer construction in the crotch. This ensures even heat regulation instead of lighter insulation on the legs and too much insulation in the middle of the body.

The new fabric also has an environmentally friendly, water-repellent finish so that splash water and light precipitation do not penetrate but roll off. The new EQUIPE R S11 insert is used for the first time in these bib shorts, providing better support for the body in aggressive riding positions. It features the in-house free-floating goldenGate 2.0 construction.

• The RX Extreme textile is the most robust, insulating material with high breathability and a water-repellent finish, ideal for racing in drizzle, wind and cool temperatures.
• The AEPD 11 racingFit is an aerodynamic second-skin fit that was developed based on feedback from the WorldTour and offers the body all-round compression and stability.
• PILtec Plug-In: The leg opening is fitted with a lightweight, breathable textile band. The micro-dot silicone treatment, which is invisible from the outside, stabilizes the fit and ensures grip even in wet conditions.
• Acqua ShieldTec: An environmentally friendly, water-repellent finish that repels water from the textile surface and maintains a dry microclimate underneath.
• X-Frame: A-shaped straps limit the drop at the lower back and stabilize the seat insert and main panel during high-intensity rides.

ASSOS aeroFit
ASSOS’ slimmest fit, specifically designed for speed and tighter fitting than the racingFit, offering a higher level of compression. It can feel restrictive out of the riding position, but fits like a second skin on the road bike.
